Futuristic Home Made Of Smart-ologic Corian and Designed by Karim Rashid

The project conducted by the canadian designer Karim Rashid and the coincidence concept of sustainable modular home design. Milan Design Week 2010 a project called ‘Smart-ologic Corian® Living’ was presented.  The interior of this home has a futuristic look, soft organic shapes of walls and furniture, and modern appliances. It includes a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and a living room. The photovoltaic modules of DuPont, integrated into the roof, create environmentally-sustainable energy. All the lighting is LED for efficiency and low energy consumption and the radiant floors are powered by solar generated energy.

Karim is an architect, interior designer, writer and product designer who has dynamically touched every facet of design from eye wear and furniture to children toys- and still manages to hold a few hobbies. Today we’re taking an intimate tour into his arguably ego-centric home, where he and his wife revel in all things designed by Karim. He says it only breeds more creativity for future designs and likes to test out his products for functionality to see what and how things need improvement.  Everything from the lounge chair to the display case to the wallpaper is all his work! It’s a pretty amazing site to see… even if you find it all too loud.

This bedroom is pretty subdued with all things considered. It’s always nice to have a peaceful oasis to retreat to for a break from all that colorful madness.

Colorful Design of the Semiramis Hotel by Karim Rashid 
Semiramis is a hotel in the future that has been designed by Karim Rashid, designer wich famous for his work on the soft, light and colors of life. Semiramis hotel offers 51 rooms, including four rooftop suites and five Poolside Bungalows. The hotel provides a distinctive look, the walls decorated with bright colors, transparent glass to see outside the hotel and pool are very elegant. Viewed from above, a swimming pool has three colors and is formed like a rainbow. In addition to the swimming pool there is a place to relax with a pink umbrella to protect the user from direct sunlight.
